Working Principle
The waterwheel aerator uses an electric motor as the power source, and drives the impeller to rotate through a speed reducer or a first-stage transmission large gear. Part or all of the blades of the impeller are immersed in water. When rotating, the blades will hit the water surface just as they enter the water, creating splashes and pressing air into the water. When the blades are perpendicular to the water surface, they generate a force parallel to the water surface, forming a directional water flow. When the blades are about to leave the water surface, a negative pressure is formed on the back of the blades to lift the lower layer of water. When the blades leave the water surface, the water in the curved part and on the blades of the impeller is lifted and thrown into the air, dissolving a large amount of air further. At the same time, the air flow formed by the rotation of the impeller can also accelerate the dissolution of air.

Structural composition
It is mainly composed of five parts: a water-cooled electric motor, a first-stage transmission large gear or a reduction gearbox, a frame, a floating boat, and an impeller. The water-cooled electric motor provides power, the first-stage transmission large gear or the reduction gearbox is responsible for transmitting power and reducing the speed, the frame plays a role in supporting and fixing, the floating boat enables the aerator to float on the water surface, and the impeller is the key component for realizing aeration and pushing the water flow.
Characteristics
It can make the entire water area in a flowing state, promoting the uniformity of dissolved oxygen in both the horizontal and vertical directions of the water body, which is suitable for aquaculture waters such as those for shrimps and crabs. The whole machine is relatively light in weight, and several units can be installed in a larger water surface to organize the water flow. The structure is simple, the cost is low, and the aeration effect in shallow ponds is good. It has a strong pushing and mixing ability in the middle and upper layers, with high aeration efficiency. Some waterwheel aerators can also achieve the function of collecting dirt at the bottom of high-level ponds, reducing the occurrence of diseases.


Application
It is suitable for aquaculture, such as the aquaculture ponds for fish, shrimps, crabs, eels, etc. It can also be used for aerating urban river water bodies, improving and maintaining the water quality of lakes and ponds.
